Simplified Wreck Survey

Caroline is an underwater shipwreck and obstruction located in the North Sea off the coast of England at coordinates 54 8.347 N, 0 10.894 E. Originally sunk in May 1918 as recorded in historical convoy reports, the wreck position was historically charted with a depth of 28 meters and appeared on Danish fishing charts. However, modern hydrographic surveys conducted in December 1997 by Gardline and May 2016 by EGS Pioneer using multibeam sonar failed to locate the wreck, officially disproving its existence and leading the UK Hydrographic Office to classify the site as dead with no further action required.
