Simplified Wreck Survey

The shipwreck CARINTILLES is located at coordinates 13 5.85 N, 59 37.427 W in the Caribbean Sea near Barbados. Originally documented lying broadside on to rocks with a starboard list, a standing funnel, a heading of 117 degrees, and a length of 44 meters, official hydrographic records from August 1990 indicate that the wreck no longer exists and has been removed.

LENGTH 44MTRS. IT IS EXPECTED SHE WILL BE REFLOATED & SCUTTLED IN PART OF THE MARINE PARK, BUT DATE OF THIS MOVE NOT KNOWN. (HMS HECATE HI 2A/80). INS AS ST. BR STD. 1.3.82 REPORTED STILL IN SAME SITUATION IN SEA BREEZES [JAN'82 EDN]. HH671/730/01 30.8.90 NO LONGER EXISTS. (NAVAL ADVISER, BRIDGETOWN, 13.8.90). AMENDED TO LIFT. DELETE. BR STD.
