Wreck Details for the Cala Engasaura located in the Mediterranean Sea off the coast of Spain. The wreck of the motor sailing vessel Cala Engasaura which was sunk by a mine during the Spanish Civil War is identified by the official coordinates 39 57.459 N, 0 2.078 E. Historical survey data indicates the wreck is situated in two parts. While the engines were salvaged and the cargo consisted of bags of cement the site has been surveyed with a least depth of 11.3 meters (37 feet). The area encompassing the wreckage has been swept and cleared to a depth of 8.5 meters (28 feet). Following various historical hydrographic assessments and search operations this underwater obstruction remains charted as a dangerous wreck at the specified location. Navigation charts including Spanish 4821 and INT 3176 confirm the presence of this maritime hazard.
