The shipwreck known as Le Bugalet is an underwater obstruction located off the coast of France in the Bay of Biscay. The official wreck position is coordinates 47 31.192 N, 3 5.513 W. Historical hydrographic survey records from the UK Hydrographic Office and French authorities document the evolution of the site from an initial obstruction reported in 1947 into a charted wreck lying at a general depth of 8 meters with a least depth over the structure of 4 meters. The site features a 250-meter radius restricted danger area prohibiting anchoring, diving, and fishing due to explosives remaining on the wreck. The underwater position is marked by an isolated danger buoy located close to the northeast, and the structural details and coordinates are maintained on official navigational charts including BA 2357.
