The shipwreck BENTE-KARIN was located at coordinates 63 4.98 N, 7 42.9 E, situated off the coast south of Kristiansund, Norway. Following its sinking, the vessel became an obstruction to local navigational waters. Records indicate that the wreck of the BENTE-KARIN was successfully salvaged in May 1988 and subsequently towed to Kolvereid in Foldenfjord, resulting in the site being cleared and amended to lift from hydrographic survey records.
