Simplified Wreck Survey
The underwater wreck of the ship Bay Fisher is located off the east coast of Scotland in the North Sea at coordinates 56 28.167 N, 2 19.296 W. Historical hydrographic surveys detail the shipwreck as a degraded underwater obstruction lying on a gently sloping seabed. Modern multibeam sonar examinations using DGPS record the least depth over the wreck at 41.1 meters within a general water depth of 48 meters. The structural dimensions of the wreck measure approximately 35 meters in length, 16 meters in width, and 6.9 meters in height, oriented on a 070/250 degree heading with its bow facing west-southwest. The site exhibits a strong magnetic anomaly, a 1-meter deep scour extending 3 meters towards 250 degrees, and associated seabed debris field stretching 200 meters towards 010 degrees.
