EX-ALDRICH (1979), BUILT IN 1975 BY K.K. UWAJIMA ZOSENSHO, UWAJIMA. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY P.T. PERUSAHAAN PELAYARAN SAMUDERA KHUSUS ARPENI PRATAMA OCEAN LINE. RAN AGROUND WHILE ON PASSAGE FOR CHINA. WAS BOARDED BY ARMED PHILIPPINE PIRATES WHILE AGROUND AND HER CREW WAS FORCED TO ABANDON SHIP. VESSEL WAS SET ON FIRE WHEN THE PIRATES HAD FINISHED LOOTING HER. (MSD).
