Simplified Wreck Survey

The shipwreck known as the Aziatic was historically reported at coordinates 51 0.235 N, 1 8.699 E in the English Channel near the Dover Strait. While initially recorded as a submerged obstruction, subsequent hydrographic surveys conducted in 1978 and 2016 failed to locate any remains of the vessel at this position. Following these detailed searches by HMS Bulldog and Gardline, the site has been formally investigated and determined to be clear of underwater hazards, with the wreck status updated to dead and removed from active maritime charts.
