The shipwreck ATA is located at coordinates 23 57 S, 179 09 W in the South Pacific Ocean. This vessel was grounded during heavy weather conditions, including Force 9 to 10 winds, which caused the ship to drag its anchor and strike the reef. The hull of the ATA is currently lodged on a reef within a lagoon, where it remains in a severely damaged state with a 30-degree list to the port side.
