VESSEL, BUILT 1958 BY SCHLICHTING-WERFT, TRAVEMUNDE. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY ARGYRIOS A. THEOCHARIS & CO. WAS ABANDONED WHEN IT CAUGHT FIRE ON PASSAGE FROM PIRAEUS TO CARTAGENA. IT WAS DELIBERATELY SUNK THE NEXT DAY BY SPANISH DESTROYER 'ALMIRANTE VALDES'. THE CREW OF 7 ALL SAFE. (MSD).
