22.9.78 VESSEL, BUILT 1975, SANK WHILE ON PASSAGE ANTWERP FOR PERSIAN GULF, AFTER COLLISION WITH MV 'DIGNITY' 24M NW OF LEIXOES, PORTUGAL, IN THICK FOG. SANK IN 18 MINUTES WITH LOSS OF 11 CREWMEN. VESSEL, OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY CHUYO KISEN K K, WAS CUT IN TWO BY THE COLLISION AND DECLARED A TOTAL LOSS. (LL 22.9.78 & 27.9.78 & MSD).
