The shipwreck ALWAKI is located off the coast of Cape Wrath, Scotland, at coordinates 58 43.008 N, 4 29.483 W. Originally reported sunk 10 meters north of Cape Wrath in 1940, the wreck was positively identified as the ALWAKI in 2008 following a dive survey where a company plate was recovered. Survey data indicates the wreck lies in approximately 72 meters of water with a least echo sounder depth of 56 meters. The vessel structure is oriented on a 020/200-degree axis, measuring approximately 116 meters in length with a structural height of 16 meters above the seabed. Historical sonar surveys noted the wreck as a significant underwater obstruction with no active scouring at the site.
