Simplified Wreck Survey
The shipwreck Alice Marie is located off the coast of Cornwall, England, near St Michael's Mount and Perranuthnoe, at the official coordinates 50 6.05 N, 5 29.31 W in a general water depth of 20 to 22 meters. First located in 1982 and later examined by HMS Bulldog, the wreckage is very broken up, lying in a hole with an orientation of 010/190 degrees and a length of 94 meters, featuring scattered wreckage to the east and a separate piece 100 meters to the west. Subsequent diving surveys in 1998 confirmed the hull was mostly salvaged down to below the original waterline, retaining its original shape and a cargo of ballast, bricks, and rubble, with the sternpost and rudder forming the highest point, though a 2016 multibeam survey failed to locate the remains.

NCA. H3843/86 3.6.88 EXAM'D 14.5.87 IN 500611N, 052921W USING DECCA. LEAST E/S DEPTH 21 IN GEN DEPTH 20.5 TO 21MTRS. NO SCOUR. VERY BROKEN UP AND LYING IN A HOLE. GIVES NO SONAR SHADOW. ORIENTATION 010/190DEGS. LENGTH 94MTRS. THERE IS WRECKAGE SCATTERED TO THE E AND A SEPARATE PIECE OF WRECKAGE 100MTRS W. RETAIN NDW SYMBOL. (HMS BULLDOG, HI 362A). AMEND POSN. BR STD. HH100/351/14 13.11.98 DIVED IN 500603.5N, 052915W [OGB] USING GPS. MOSTLY SALVAGED TO BELOW THE ORIGINAL WATERLINE. RETAINS ORIGINAL SHAPE AND CARGO OF BALLAST, BRICKS AND RUBBLE ETC.
