VESSEL, BUILT 1971 BY ERNST MENZER SCHIFFSW, RAN AGROUND IN HEAVY SEAS 18M N OF CABO ROCA WHILE ON PASSAGE ROTTERDAM FOR MOHAMMEDIA. SHE WAS POUNDED & BADLY DAMAGED BY SEAS & ABANDONED BY HER CREW. AFTER SEVERAL UNSUCCESSFUL ATTEMPTS TO REFLOAT, IT WAS DECIDED TO OFFLOAD CARGO & THE WRECKED VESSEL WAS DECLARED A CONSTRUCTIVE TOTAL LOSS & SOLD FOR SCRAP. OWNED AT THE TIME OF LOSS BY THIRD INTERNATIONAL TANKOWN. (MSD).
