BUILT IN 1831 BY GENERAL STEAM PROPULSION CO, HOTWELLS, BRISTOL. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY BRISTOL GENERAL STEAM NAVIGATION CO. ONE BOILER, 2 CYLINDER INVERTED LEVER ENGINE, PADDLES. STRUCK A ROCK OFF SKOMER ISLAND AND WAS RUN ASHORE NEAR MARLOES. 29 CREW, 21 PASSENGERS, 5 HORSES AND 180 OUT OF 400 PIGS CARRIED WERE SAVED. BROKEN UP FOR SCRAP ON BEACH. (SIBI). CARGO ALSO INCLUDED IRISH WHISKY, LINEN, WHEAT AND GUINNESS. PHOTO OF PARTS OF PADDLE WHEEL SHAFT SHOWING. (SHIPWRECKS AROUND WALES).
