Simplified Wreck Survey

The shipwreck Alacrity is located at coordinates 50 9.852 N, 5 39.493 W in Portheras Cove near Pendeen, Cornwall. Originally reported ashore in October 1963, the wreck dries at low tide and is partially covered with sand. Portions of the structure remain visible, including the bows standing 3 to 4 feet high, along with parts of the ribs and stern section. Situated in a non-navigable area, the remains have historically been noted as a hazard to swimmers in the local coastal waters.
