Simplified Wreck Survey

Underwater Wreck Report for Barge 501-2 located in the Persian Gulf near Bahrain. The submerged obstruction known as Barge 501-2 was historically surveyed at coordinates 26 11.843 N, 50 36.873 E. This wreck site, previously identified by divers as a 24 by 6 meter steel barge, recorded a least echo sounder depth of 4.3 to 4.4 meters. Following subsequent surveys conducted by the Ministry of Housing in Bahrain, the obstruction was officially classified as non-existent and declared a dead wreck site. Historical data for this underwater obstacle includes references H1962/66 and H31/88/2001.
