BUILT OF IRON IN 1882. ONE BOILER, COMPOUND EXPANSION ENGINE, SINGLE SHAFT. PASSAGE GLASGOW FOR WATERFORD AND SOUTHAMPTON. STRUCK MIDSHIPS BY SS AMPHION. SHE COMMENCED TO FILL IMMEDIATELY AND CREW AND PASSENGERS TOOK TO THE LIFEBOATS. THEY WERE RECOVERED BY SS BEAR. BOT RECORDS SHOW THAT THE COLLISION WAS 5 MIES SW OF PORTPARTICK. GALLOWAY SHIPWRECKS (MILLER), SHOW THE COLLISION WAS 13 MILES OFF THE GALLOWAY COAST. (SIBI).
