Simplified Wreck Survey

The underwater wreck of the vessel WEGA is located at coordinates 54 23.04 N, 8 33.6 E in the North Sea off the German coast. Historical UK Hydrographic Office survey records document the site starting from January 1976 when a mast was first reported, which was later confirmed in July 1977. By September 1979, the obstruction was amended to a dangerous wreck with a least depth over it. The latest hydrographic updates from March 2016 confirm the position of the WEGA wreck with a safe clearance depth of 3.3 meters over the obstruction.
