Simplified Wreck Survey

The shipwreck Vrist is located at coordinates 53 46.517 N, 0 23.093 E in the North Sea near the Humber region. Historical records show the vessel sank on 16 June 1954 approximately 11.5 miles northeast by north of the Humber Light Vessel and was initially charted as a non-dangerous wreck. Subsequent hydrographic surveys in March 1972 amended the position to a dangerous wreck with a least depth of 18 meters. Later hydrographic surveys conducted in February 1978 and September 2016 failed to locate the obstruction during area searches and multibeam sonar data collection, resulting in the wreck being removed from the charts as no longer visible or present.
