The shipwreck Vigilant, located at coordinates 55 53.831 N, 2 7.361 W off the UK coast, is a well broken and completely disintegrated underwater wreck. Historical survey records from the UK Hydrographic Office note that divers initially found the vessel breaking up due to heavy swell, with planks and a nameplate washing ashore in October 1976. Subsequent diving reports confirmed the wreckage was completely broken up with scattered debris in the immediate area. Later surveys in 2002 and 2021 failed to locate any remains in the multibeam dataset, classifying the obstruction as not located and dead, meaning no further archaeological or navigational significance remains at the site.
