Simplified Wreck Survey

The underwater wreck of UC 9 is located at coordinates 51 47.031 N, 1 36.894 E in the southern North Sea off the southeast coast of England. Historical hydrographic surveys note that the position was originally reported as very approximate. Subsequent official searches conducted in 1975 using transit sonar by HMS Enterprise and in 1978 using basic sounding by HMS Echo failed to find any indication of the wreck, leading to its status being amended to dead. Further multibeam sonar surveys in 2012 by Netsurvey confirmed the obstruction was not located, resulting in no contact and no further action required.
