The underwater wreck of the German submarine U 84 is located at coordinates 51 53.524 N, 5 44.061 W off the coast of the United Kingdom. Historical records indicate the vessel was rammed, and while early hydrographic surveys charted the obstruction with positional accuracy notes as approximate, subsequent sonar searches by Royal Navy vessels including HMS Herald and HMS Bulldog failed to locate the structure, leading to the wreck being officially disproved and classified as dead.
