Simplified Wreck Survey

The wreckage of a small tug is located in the Solent near Round Tower Point and Fort Albert at coordinates 50 42.134 N, 1 31.951 W. The vessel is largely buried in the sand with only the diesel engine projecting nearly 1 meter above the surrounding seabed. This underwater obstruction represents a navigation hazard in the Solent area. Detailed surveys indicate the wreck is well broken and consists of structural debris from a small tugboat. While noted in Solent maritime literature, this site does not appear in official shipwreck indices or World War 2 Royal Navy loss records. Mariners and divers should exercise caution when navigating or operating in the vicinity of these coordinates.
