Simplified Wreck Survey

UKHO survey data for the underwater shipwreck TREGANTLE located at coordinates 52 30.694 N, 1 52.073 E off the East Coast of England in the North Sea. Historical survey records indicate the wreck could not be found by sweeping and was reported for dispersal in 2017. Later multibeam bathymetry surveys in 2016 and 2017 did not locate the wreck, recording no further action. Survey notes suggest the position is nearly identical to the wreck of the SILKSWORTH HALL, with hydrographic reports questioning the existence of a separate distinct obstruction at this site.

H1942/80 2.9.82 ONLY ONE WK FOUND IN THIS POSN, WHICH IS PRESUMABLY 'SILKSWORTH HALL' (ABOVE). (HMS BULLDOG, HI 11). AMEND DEAD. SEP 2016/000091758 20.7.17 NOT LOCATED IN M/B DATASET 2016-2017. (GARDLINE, HI 1494). NFA.

PASSAGE GALVESTON & NORFOLK (VIRGINIA) FOR HULL. TORPEDOED BY GERMAN SUBMARINE UC-5 1.5M ESE OF CORTON LTV. SURVIVORS LANDED AT LOWESTOFT. (LLWW1, SIBI).
