Simplified Wreck Survey

The TRANS POLLUX was a steam vessel located in the Mediterranean Sea off the coast of Isola delle Correnti, Sicily, near coordinates 36° 37.923' N, 15° 05.223' E. First officially logged in February 1960 approximately 0.5 nautical miles southeast of the Isola delle Correnti Lighthouse, the steamship was recorded in the process of salvage and demolition by September 1960. Following position adjustments later that year, a hydrographic survey conducted in October 1966 by the survey vessel HNMV Stad-Zwalle confirmed that the wreck had been demolished, resulting in its entry being updated to dead status and deleted from active navigational charts.
