PASSAGE LONDON FOR CALCUTTA. GENERAL CARGO INCLUDING NICKEL INGOTS. TORPEDOED BY GERMAN E-BOAT. CAUGHT FIRE AND WAS TAKEN TOW. WENT ASHORE FOLLOWING DAY AND BROKE BACK. SOME CARGO WAS DISCHARGED.
