STERN LIES HALF OVER TO PORT WHILE FROM THE BOILER TO THE BOWS THE WRECK IS UPRIGHT, BUT HAS COLLAPSED TO PORT. SPARE PROP IS CLOSE TO THE BOILER ON THE STBD SIDE. PASSAGE SWANSEA FOR ROUEN. TORPEDOED BY UB-58. (D C WENDES). SANK FOLLOWING A SEVERE EXPLOSION WHICH WAS THOUGHT TO HAVE BEEN CAUSED BY A MINE. (WW1SL). SUNK BY UB 57. ONLY TWO OF CREW ESCAPED. THEY WERE RECOVERED BY HMT THOMAS CHAMBERS. (DORSET SHIPWRECKS).
