Simplified Wreck Survey
The shipwreck STAR ADMIRAL is located in the North Atlantic Ocean at the coordinates 42 30 N, 19 0 W. Originally reported adrift and in a sinking condition on January 25, 2001, the vessel was confirmed sunk shortly thereafter. Subsequent aerial searches conducted on January 27, 2001, failed to locate the wreckage, leading authorities to conclude the vessel rests at a depth too great for navigational charting purposes. The wreck of the STAR ADMIRAL remains in deep water at this North Atlantic position and is not considered a hazard to surface navigation due to its extreme depth.
