STAG WAS ASSISTING 6 OTHER TUGS IN TOWING NEWLY BUILT 7,585TON SS CITY OF MANCHESTER FROM WALLSEND FOR SUNDERLAND WHEN A FORCE 8 WESTERLY GALE DROVE THE SS SIDEWAYS PULLING OVER THE STAG, WHICH SANK WITH LOSS OF 4 OF 6 CREW.
