Simplified Wreck Survey

The shipwreck Sperlonga is located off the coast of Barcelona, Spain, at approximate coordinates 41 16.5 N, 02 05 E. Originally grounded near Prat Beach, south of Barcelona, the vessel underwent salvage attempts in February 1970 before being successfully refloated in November 1970. Per hydrographic records, the wreck status was amended to reflect that the structure was lifted, and it is no longer considered a navigational obstruction at this location.
