Following salvage operations documented in 1952, the obstruction was confirmed as cleared from the seabed and the site is now considered dead in hydrographic databases. This location, situated off the Southern Mole of the Ancona breakwater, was historically associated with submerged structural debris, but current nautical charts confirm the site is clear of this underwater obstruction.
