The underwater wreck and obstruction of the SCARABEO 4 is located in the Celtic Sea off the western coast of Brittany, France, at coordinates 48 17.005 N, 7 11.942 W. According to hydrographic survey records from March 8, 1990, the underwater obstruction lies at a depth of 160 meters within a general seabed depth of 161 meters. First cataloged under French Wreck Records from 1984 (Record No. 14587045), the site is covered by an extended danger line from a neighboring 157-meter underwater obstruction located closely to the southeast.
