BUILT IN 1943 BY HOUSTON SHIP BUILDING CORP, HOUSTON. OWNED AT TIME OF LOST BY SAGITTARIUS SHIPPING CORP. PASSAGE ROSARIO AND BUENOS AIRES FOR RAVENNA. SANK FOLLOWING A COLLISON WITH EAST GERMAN MV SCHWARZBURG IN THE INDIO CHANNEL. 6 OF THE 23 CREW DIED. DECLARED A CONSTRUCTIVE TOTAL LOSS, REFLOATED & SOLD TO ARGENTINE SHIPBREAKERS. (MSD)
