Simplified Wreck Survey
The underwater wreck known as S P 12 is located at coordinates 34 52.1 S, 57 22.5 W. Historical hydrographic survey records from the UK Hydrographic Office document the existence, reports, and eventual removal of this obstruction. Initially reported by Argentine notices in 1980, the wreck was later investigated by local port pilots aboard the MV Pomella and MV Garala who reported that the wreck was never found and did not exist at the charted position. Although briefly maintained on international charts, the obstruction was officially deleted and expunged from navigational records following Argentine Notice to Mariners 225/93 in 1993.
