Simplified Wreck Survey

The shipwreck Rhos Anna was historically located at coordinates 53 19.774 N, 3 30.735 W off the coast of Wales near the Menai Strait and Liverpool Bay area. Sunk in August 1992 and initially marked by an unlit conical buoy with a least depth of 3.3 meters and a length of 36 feet, the wreck of this vessel was officially removed and the salvage completed in August 1992 after which the hull data was updated as lifted and cleared.

WK IS 36FT LONG. LEAST DEPTH REPORTED AS 3.3MTRS. (OCC TH, HARWICH, TELECON 5.8.92). INS AS DW. - NM 2482/92. HH212/400/06 25.8.92 WK REMOVED. BUOY DISCONTINUED. (TH, 17.8.92 & TH NM 36/92). AMENDED TO LIFT. - NM 2697/92. HH100/351/14 12.3.99 DATA CONFORMED CORRECT. VESSEL WAS LATER REFITTED AND IS USED FOR ANGLING TRIPS FROM HAYLING ISLAND. (A PARRY, LTR DTD 8.3.99). NCA.
