The shipwreck RHEINUNION 9 is located in the southern North Sea off the coast of the Netherlands and Belgium at coordinates 51 14.3 N, 4 23.933 E. Originally reported as a submerged wreck marked by a navigational buoy in February 1955, historical hydrographic survey records from the UK Hydrographic Office confirm that both the wreck and its marker buoy were subsequently removed following salvage and lifting operations.
