The underwater wreck RAMESES, historically recorded at coordinates 55 54.999 N, 0 50.104 W off the coast of North East England, is officially classified as dead and disproved. Following a hydrographic survey by Gardline (HI 1083) in 2005, the site was investigated and found to be a flat and featureless seabed with no evidence of structural remains, such as welded steel or broken debris, confirming the obstruction does not exist. The original entry, previously charted as a non-dangerous wreck and later an underwater obstruction, was permanently deleted from nautical charts by Notice to Mariners 1981/05. Sailors and researchers should note that the position 55 54.999 N, 0 50.104 W is clear of any underwater wreckage.
