WRECK LIES ON A SLOPE IN DEPTHS OF 60-120FT. (K BIALOWAS, NEVADA DIVING & SALVAGE CO LTD, 27.8.71). H1283/78/158 5.5.78 LOCATED 28.6.77 ON N SIDE OF GREAT-BLASKET ISLAND. BACK BEARINGS FROM (A) TOWER (RUIN) 269 DEG (T); (B) HILL SPOT HEIGHT 926 FT 040 DEG (T); (C) HILL SPOT HEIGHT 203FT 229 DEG (T), WHICH GIVES 520548.1N, 103213.5W. LYING ON STEEP SLOPE IN DEPTHS OF 25-33MTRS. SCATTERED WRECKAGE. BOILER, 10MTRS SQUARE, ON W SIDE OF WHICH WERE FOUND SHELLS, BRASS WARHEADS, DETONATORS, OIL STONES, BRASS WIRE AND COGS. ON E SIDE WERE MORE LARGE SHELLS AND ASSORTED PIPES. (R A GOOD, SALE SAC, 2.5.78). NCA. VERY CLOSE INSHORE. H1310/88/26 20.5.88 WK WAS DIVED EXTENSIVELY DURING SUMMERS OF 1986 AND 1987 BY IRISH NAVY. LARGE QUANTITIES OF AMMUNITION WERE DESTROYED FOR SECURITY REASONS. (E BOURKE, 11.4.88). H1310/88 17.8.88 LOCATED IN 520548N, 103214W IN GEN DEPTH 20MTRS. COMPLETELY BROKEN UP. SHELL HEADS SCATTERED EVERYWHERE. NO INDICATIONS OF LIVE CASES. STRONG CURRENTS EXPERIENCED. (R GOLDEN, 15.7.88). 5.6.89 CARGO MANIFEST STATES 'SHELLS'. THOSE FOUND BY DIVERS ARE EMPTY STEEL PROJECTILES. (T HANLAN, TELECON 5.6.89). HH100/351/04 8.1.91 WK LIES ABEAM TO LOCHAR ROCK ON W SIDE OF GREAT-BLASKET ISLAND IN 18-40MTRS. BOW SECTION IS WELL PRESERVED BUT SUPERSTRUCTURE IS IN POOR CONDITION. (P MCGUINNESS, 4.1.91).
