Simplified Wreck Survey
The sunken dredger Poseidon was located in the waters near the entrance to Kalundborg, Denmark, near the coast of Gisselore. Initially reported as a sunken obstruction in June 1972 at coordinates 55 40 N, 11 4.9 E, the wreck had a least depth of 5 meters and was temporarily marked by green conical buoys. The vessel was subsequently lifted by salvage ships Magnus II and III in June 1972, and the wreck was officially removed along with its marking buoys, meaning no structural hazard remains at the site.
