Simplified Wreck Survey

The wreck of the vessel PONZA is located at coordinates 45 25.5 N, 12 21 E, situated near the Venetian Lagoon and the Punta della Salute in Italy. Historical surveying records from the UK Hydrographic Office initially identified the shipwreck as an underwater obstruction located approximately 300 meters from the Punta della Salute, marked at the time by a flag and a lighting sequence of one white and two red lights. Following further maritime surveys documented in Genoa NM 255/538, the wreckage of the PONZA was officially reported as recovered and removed from the seabed. This site is no longer considered a hazard to navigation.
