PASSAGE THE BALTIC FOR INDIA. THOUGHT TO HAVE STRUCK SUBMERGED OBJECT WHEN OFF S TIP OF MADAGASCAR. WAS BEACHED NEAR FORT DAUPHIN DUE TO INGRESS OF WATER IN HOLDS. PROSPECTS FOR SALVAGE WERE REMOTE DUE TO CONTINUING BAD WEATHER AND THE DAMAGE SUSTAINED TO THE VESSEL. NO FURTHER INFORMATION. (LL). NOT RECORDED IN MSD.
