The shipwreck of the Peter Marlene is a historically documented underwater obstruction located in the North Sea off the coast of the Netherlands at coordinates 53 8.167 N, 4 26.453 E. Originally reported in March 1991 as dangerous to navigation and temporarily marked by an East cardinal buoy with a very quick flashing white light (VQ(3) 5S), the vessel was subsequently evaluated following multiple position updates. Declared a total loss after sinking, maritime authorities confirmed the complete removal of the Peter Marlene wreck and the withdrawal of its navigational buoy in June 1991.
