Simplified Wreck Survey
The underwater wreck of the fishing vessel Panchita Reina del Mar is located at coordinates 36 51.237 N, 6 53.347 W in the Gulf of Cádiz off the southwestern coast of Spain. Surveying records from the UK Hydrographic Office note that in April 1990, an orange light buoy was established at position 36° 51' 19" N, 06° 53' 16" W to mark the sunken vessel following local Spanish Notices to Mariners. Over the following years, position updates and corrections were recorded across hydrographic surveys and nautical charts issued in Cádiz. By April 2001, updated Spanish navigational charts no longer indicated the presence of the vessel or the light buoy, leading authorities to officially amend the wreck status to dead and remove the marker buoy from active maritime obstruction records.
