Underwater Obstruction Survey Details Near Menado Sulawesi Sea Coordinates 1 29.8 N 124 49.6 E Historical hydrographic survey records from the UK Hydrographic Office document numerous underwater obstructions and foul areas located near Menado in the Sulawesi Sea referencing historical surveys dating from 1954 through 2009. Multiple underwater hazards and obstructions were originally charted based on historical Netherlands and Indonesian notices to mariners relative to the Menado Light. Following a joint Indonesian and United States hydrographic survey conducted in 2009, these underwater obstructions were officially found to no longer exist, and the hazard reports were deleted and expunged from navigational charts as dead entries.
