Surveying Details HH100/351/14 12.1.99 SMALL METAL WK LOCATED ON SW TIP OF HON TRAU NAM [LES TROIS ROIS]. WELL BROKEN UP AND SCATTERED AMONGST BOULDERS, LYING IN DEPTHS 2.6-8MTRS. SHAPE OF SOME OF THE METAL PLATES AND GIRDERS WOULD INDICATE THAT EXPLOSIVES HAVE BEEN USED TO BLOW APART WK FOR SCRAP METAL VALUE. A COMMON FATE OF SHALLOW WATER WRECKS IN VIETNAM. LARGEST SINGLE PIECE MEASURES APPROX 8 X 3MTRS. BELIEVED FROM CONDITION TO BE BETWEEN 40-100 YEARS OLD. (MARK BAKER, FAX DTD 31.12.98). POSN APPROX 1233.70N, 10927.90E. NCA.
