Simplified Wreck Survey

Underwater wreck site located at 56 4.361 N, 4 49.922 W, situated in the coastal waters near Faslane, Scotland. Originally charted as a 54-foot underwater obstruction or small craft, subsequent investigations by divers from HMS Neptune confirmed the site is not a vessel but a fragmented rock formation measuring approximately 30 by 12 by 8 feet, protruding through the seabed mud. This location, historically surveyed by the UK Hydrographic Office, is now classified as a non-wreck obstruction on navigational charts. Survey records indicate the site was previously identified as a wreck at 9 fathoms or 17.1 meters depth before being amended to a natural rock feature. This underwater obstruction is noted for maritime records in the vicinity of the Firth of Clyde.
