Simplified Wreck Survey

Underwater wreck site and obstruction located off the coast of North Wales at coordinates 53 26.034 N, 3 35.835 W featuring a large pile of cut slates discovered in January 2013 with regular packing and compaction suggesting a lost vessel cargo where the remains of the ship may be buried possibly linked to the historic cargo from the vessel Vine which sank on June 5 1877 classified as a foul seabed area.

SEP 2014/000218382 27.10.14 LARGE PILE OF CUT SLATES LOCATED JAN 2013 IN 5326.034N, 0335.835W [WGD]. REGULAR PACKING, COMPACTION AND LACK OF SPILLING SUGGESTS A VESSEL CARGO WHICH WAS LOST WITH THE SHIP. REMAINS OF VESSEL MAY BE BURIED. (WESSEX ARCHAEOLOGY DIVE REPORT FOR GWYINT-Y-MORE WINDFARM). POSSIBLY CARGO FROM VINE, SUNK 5.6.1877. INS AS FOUL.
