Simplified Wreck Survey

Underwater obstruction located in the English Channel off the coast of Normandy, France, at coordinates 49 24.588 N, 0 40.493 W. This submerged maritime feature, identified as an obstruction rather than a charted shipwreck, stands at a height of 1.1 meters above the seabed as measured by sonar. The site was recorded during a December 1993 survey and is noted in historical maritime records for the D-Day overlay area. Although the site has been detected via magnetometer, it has not been fully surveyed and remains an unclassified underwater hazard. Mariners should exercise caution in this vicinity as the obstruction plots in close proximity to a 16-meter wreck site.
