Simplified Wreck Survey

Underwater obstruction located at coordinates 8 27.5 N, 59 47.5 W off the coast of Guyana. This site was formerly marked by the Light Star, a navigational aid featuring a flashing light at a 12-second interval with an 11-meter elevation. Following a report in September 2015, the light was confirmed as destroyed and the site is now charted as an underwater obstruction. Mariners and researchers should note the position 8 27.5 N, 59 47.5 W in the Guyana region remains a hazard to navigation due to the remains of the structure.
